With a distinguished career spanning over 30 years, '홍주현(Yara Hong)' is a prominent South Korean scriptwriter and filmmaker who has defined the landscape of humanistic documentaries. Her portfolio includes iconic programs such as The Korean's Dining Table, Human Theater, and World Theme Travel.
Her profound narrative depth was recognized with the Best Educational Program Award at the 2013 Baeksang Arts Awards. In 2017, she founded Saryeoni Pictures to push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
Her latest cinematic achievement, "Have You Seen the Red Country?" was officially invited to the 2025 Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), marking her successful transition into film directing and production. 2017년 사려니픽쳐스를 설립하여 다큐멘터리와 영화 제작으로 활동 영역을 넓혔으며, 직접 연출한 영화 〈빨간나라를 보았니〉가 2025년 부산국제영화제에 공식 초청되며 영화인으로서 새로운 정점을 찍고 있습니다. 삶의 깊은 맛(滋味)을 기록해온 집요함으로, 이제는 프레임 너머의 더 큰 진실을 이야기합니다.
